Parish Council Meeting

The Council meeting will commence at the earlier time of 7:00pm. Members of the Rampion2 project team will be addressing the Council on the potential onshore cable route changes affecting the Washington parish: three modified routes, one of which is under the village green ("Washington Recreation Ground"), and three alternative accesses in the parish. The proposals form part of a targeted six-week public consultation on potential onshore alternatives and modifications to the proposed cable corridor between Clymping Beach and Bolney.

Please note that this is not a public meeting. The public are welcome to attend subject to the venue's safe seating capacity and to speak during the public session at the Chairman's discretion.  There will be an opportunity for the public to meet the Rampion2 team, express views and ask questions on the proposals at one of four drop-in events. One will be at Washington Village Memorial Hall, School Lane, Washington RH20 4AP on Saturday 12th November 2022, 1-8pm. Visit their website at: Rampion2.com/consultation for details of the proposals and an online consultation response form to have your say. There is also information on all four drop-in events.

Washington Parish Council will be considering a formal consultation response at its Planning & Transport Committee meeting on Monday 21st November at the Washington Village Memorial Hall. If you are a Washington parish resident and would like your views to be taken into consideration for the meeting, please email clerk@washingtonparish.org.uk before noon on Tuesday 15th November 2022
